In light of the current pandemic, we have been hosting a series of events around "designing the new (& better) normal". At our last event, we identified an opportunity to help communities respond to health, social, and environmental crises through facilitated discussions. Join Prescribe Design and Boston Design Thinking Meetup on August 13th for a virtual workshop to continue to discover how might we facilitate community-based discussions in the face of recent crises.
Our goals for this workshop are threefold:
1) Learn about and explore the role of design in supporting
communities facing crises such as COVID-19
2) Activate a network of community members interested in using
human-centered design to solve for COVID-19 challenges
3) Develop low-fidelity prototypes and research questions in support
of facilitating community-based discussions
We are interested in expanding the voices in the room and are looking forward to engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders:
• Community members
• Healthcare practitioners and consumers
• Researchers
• Designers, engineers, strategists, etc.
• Public or private partners interested in engaging in this effort
If you have questions, are interested in co-leading this effort please contact us at
