How to Make Games and Influence People with Michael Berthaud

Hi BUG! This month we have Michael Berthaud talking about his experiences working with a big-time youtube influencer to create a chart-topping mobile game. ABOUT THE TALK:Juggling a plethora of chaotic aspects of life that are indicative to a college student, adding development with an influencer to the melting pot does not help. This presentation will discuss the goods, bads, do's, and dont's while working with a social media influencer (or any non-technically-minded client) that is oblivious to the game development process. Discussing things like keeping influencers in scope, contracts, branding, and game release. ABOUT THE SPEAKER:Michael Berthaud, age 19, currently attending Wentworth institute of technology as a sophomore has a love for story telling and self-expression more than anything. Michael quickly found that he had an inherent talent as a programmer during his time at Microsoft. His interest in technology made video games the natural medium for allowing the best way to express himself. He hopes to inspire other human beings not to just make or play games, but to think critically about the world around them and how their voice and emotions can make a large impact. His projects act as a gateway to helping others experience unique perspectives and he continues to strive towards his goals as a lead developer at JumpButton Studio. *********************************** A SPECIAL COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation in Boston, we have made the decision to virtualize all our events for the foreseeable future.
