The New England Chapter of HFES is seeking students to present their research at the 2018 Student Research Conference. Interested Undergraduate and Graduate students should submit abstracts up to 250 words on research that is either in the planning process (conceptual), in progress, or completed. Students are free to submit previously presented work (e.g., at HFES). Abstracts should include a title, authors, authors’ affiliations, school advisor, the status of the research (conceptual/planning, in progress, completed) and the abstract itself.

Students do NOT need to submit papers for the conference, just abstracts. Research abstracts must be submitted by 5 PM on Friday, March 23, 2018. Please submit abstracts to nechfes@gmail.com

Submitters will receive notification of acceptance by Monday, April 2, 2018. Abstracts accepted for presentation at the conference will be published on the NEC HFES website (nechfesblog.wordpress.com/) prior to the conference. Conference presentations will be approximately 10-15 min in length.

Registration fee includes membership with the NEC HFES for 2018.
Continental breakfast & lunch are included.
$10 for students
$15 for unemployed and retirees
$30 for employed non-students

Program
The NEC HFES is hosting a one-day conference that focuses on bringing together human factors and ergonomics professionals and students in the New England area. The conference is designed to provide time for people to share ideas in a variety of formats and to socialize with other professionals in the region. The agenda will include student research presentations, professional speakers including a keynote speaker, networking and recruiting opportunities, catered lunch, and more.
