UX Managers Luncheon: Improving UX Influence on Product Strategy

The UX Managers Luncheon is designed for UX managers and directors. Spend 3 1/2 hours in a facilitated discussion about a specific topic. Then continue the discussion over a delicious lunch. The outcomes of the discussion are documented and given back to you. Then participants join a private LinkedIn group to stay connected.

We keep the group small to create a good setting for discussion.

Many organizations split up user experience and product strategy. There are market demands, competitive demands and resources that may be in synergy or conflict with user experience goals.

Improving UX Influence on Product Strategy was voted this month's topic. For example:

* Is your UX team working with product managers effectively?

* How do you address any overlap or conflicts between
product management and user experience?

* How is product strategy defined and how should user experience fit in?

* How might UX influence product strategy in your organization?

Our aim is to arm you with actionable tactics. Some participants present their challenges while the rest of us ask questions, provide feedback, and together map out ideas to find potential solutions. Share what has worked, share your challenges, or simply participate in exploring the problem together.

There's no "right" way to prepare. Participants do whatever works: share a presentation, provide handouts or explain the issues at the whiteboard. We know you're super busy.

We ask participants to keep everything under non-disclosure to support an open conversation.
