www.meetup.com/Boston-EdTech-Meetup/events/261307964The Boston Ed Tech Meetup is once again partnering with General Assembly - this time to highlight how a product team of product managers, designers, and engineers work together to create ed tech products.
In this particular product team spotlight, we’ll highlight members of the Curriculum Associates team, who create K-8 math and reading Diagnostics and instruction for over 6 million students. Creating a product at such a scale presents unique challenges for product development. To help us understand those challenges, we're bringing in one product manager, designer, and engineer to discuss the process of creating Curriculum Associates’ new educator dashboard, which aims to quickly provide educators with valuable insights to help them improve classroom instruction.
NOTE: For this event, we ask that you register both through the meetup site itself and the General Assembly page (
generalassemb.ly/education/product-team-spotlight-creating-actionable-insights-for-students-and-teachers/boston/77347) so both groups will have a good idea of who will be attending. This is required as it's the only way that the security in the building will let you access to GA's event space.
This is part of our product spotlight series where we aim to get into the nitty-gritty of what it actually takes to build a successful ed tech product. We bring in key members of a single product team to talk in depth about a feature they built - the inspiration for it, the challenges along the way, and the collaboration needed to ship a quality product on time. By focusing on a product feature, we hope to get away from the generalities and take a deep dive into concrete examples and the real nuances of building a product.
