We are back! In this LEGO Serious Play Meetup, we will uncover and bridge divides that we find in all areas of life, more than ever. Be it beer vs. wine, dog vs. cat, bicycle vs. truck, city vs. suburb, or Democrats vs. Republicans. We all have our preferences and are often not willing or able to listen to the other side.
We’ll dive into some of these divides, explore how they make us feel and how we can start to bridge them. LEGO Serious Play is ideally suited for such an exercise and you will be actively involved during the evening by building LEGO models that represent your thoughts/feeling/ideas and by sharing stories about your models.
LEGO Serious Play is a thinking, communication and problem-solving technique that helps access thoughts powerfully and with deep meaning. LEGO bricks are used as a medium to build and to express complex ideas through storytelling and metaphors; they create a safe environment where participants feel free to share personal thoughts and concerns. Building with one’s hands involves both sides of the brain and thus fosters whole brain thinking and highly creative outcomes. A LEGO Serious Play session creates an inclusive culture of shared understanding and shared values that uncovers individual needs and taps into the power of group genius.
The Meetup will be held at the ST. James WeWork Space. The building requires elevator keycard access. Be sure to bring an ID and sign up with your full name so that we submit an attendee list to the security staff.
