Interested in UX? Want to understand the different paths available to you in the field? Curious about the difference between UX research and UX design? Come hear from our panel of industry professionals!

Meet our panelists below:

Rivka (Hannah) Barrett recently graduated with a Master’s in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University and is currently working for herself as a freelance UX Researcher and Designer. Rivka has worked with clients and in-house teams across multiple industries, including robotics, healthcare and financial services. She’s especially passionate about mobile health, medical devices and accessibility work. Feel free to connect with her on LinkedIn:

Lauren Mulvehill is a UX Designer who is passionate about creating user-centered design solutions backed by research and data. Her bachelor's degree was obtained from RIT in New Media Marketing and her master's from SUNY Oswego in Human-Computer Interaction. She has experience working in the mental health, grocery retail, and financial service industries, as well as consulting for early stage startups. Currently she is leading the UX design initiatives for a company called Gradifi which helps employees pay off their student debt.

Zoraida Cabrera-Mieles worked 4 years in e-commerce customer support before diving into the world of UX. Her work with customers showed her the importance of getting to know your audience’s needs and pain-points. Today she’s a UX Design Intern at Harvard University Web Publishing. There her work spans between user research, experience design, and user interface design. She is also currently pursuing her M.L.A. in Digital Media Design the Harvard Extension School.

A huge thanks to our awesome host, Launch Academy!
