Virtual WiMLDS x Lightning Talks + Breakout Rooms

Please join us for WiMLDS Bay Area's first virtual meetup! We will have a series of lightning talks followed by a speed networking session using Zoom's breakout rooms. She currently leads a team of Data Scientists who build out algorithms and tools to improve players’ in-game experience. She has over 8 years of experience working with remote teammates, and more recently has led a team with varying degrees of remote work. She also has led fully remote hiring of interns for the last two years, and currently is conducting all hiring remotely for open roles Abstract: Working from home full-time has presented many unique challenges for Data Scientists and others in highly technical roles. Hiring and interviewing for technical roles also presents new challenges, especially considering the need to evaluate coding ability and collaborate on case studies. In this talk, we discuss tips on hiring, interviewing, and working with teammates in a fully remote workplace. Stay tuned for more details!
