UXPA Boston March Meeting: Who Owns Design Decisions?

Join us for UXPA Boston's March Meeting as our presenter discusses why we need to get in better decision-making shape.

About this event

Companies that make fast, high-quality decisions are more successful. All products and experiences that are shipped to customers are the result of individuals or teams making a decision, regardless of the company size and team configuration. If you are unable to make decisions and communicate and execute them quickly, your company is at risk of falling behind.

One of the greatest challenges around decisions comes with identifying who the decision maker is, and once identified, gathering input from stakeholders and securing commitment for execution. In this session we will review a four-step framework for making decisions, which can help UX teams prevent potential stakeholder bottlenecks, leading designers to become more effective and influential.

About our presenter

Leo Casado is a Director of Product Management responsible for the design strategy of the marketing and ecommerce website at Autodesk, a software company that develops products across architecture, engineering, construction, design, manufacturing, and entertainment industries. He started his career as an architectural designer in Boston, and has since moved to the tech industry, leading digital marketing, user experience and product management teams. Originally from Venezuela, he now lives with his wife and their three sons, in Bedford, NH.
