www.meetup.com/Ladies-That-UX-Boston/events/279907666There is never a right time to start building a design system. This is especially true when you’re working at a startup in hypergrowth, who more than likely won’t have a team dedicated to design ops. We’re all familiar with the concept of slowing down now in order to move faster later. But what if it feels like you just can’t slow down?
Drift’s design system, Tide, has been designed and built over the course of 3 years with an emphasis on progress over perfection (because dang, there are so many customer-facing features to go build too!). Christina Allan, one of the designers who’s built Tide from the ground up, will share a realistic look at some of the milestones that Tide has crossed, and how other teams can overcome the blank page problem and just start.
